Inside Michelle and Barack Obama's Daughter Sasha's Student Life
Sasha Obama gained prominence when her father became a president in 2009 - here’s what she has been up to since then.
Due to their father, Barack Obama’s run as a two-term US President, Sasha and her sister, Malia, grew up in the eyes of the public.

The public continued to keep their eyes on the duo even after their family left the White House. Hence, when images of Sasha at her prom surfaced and Wendy Willams announced that she was ready to start her life as a college student, fans were beyond ecstatic.
Sasha and Malia have been taking their college classes online and that the current situation might be a welcome change for Malia, who is in her third year at Harvard University.
Detroit News subsequently reported that Sasha, who gained admission into the University of Michigan, was seen attending summer freshman orientation in the company of men who many assumed were Secret Service agents.
Despite the presence of those men, one woman who was enrolled in the school’s Summer Bridge Scholars Program at the time said that she and Sasha had mutual friends, thus making the former First Daughter just "a normal student to me."
Besides taking a different path from her family members by attending a Big Ten university instead of an Ivy League school, Sasha has an active social life.
According to E! Online, she is expected to have a social life in college even though her classmates seem to be respecting her need for privacy.
Sasha’s strive for normalcy was observed back in 2016 when she took a summer job in the food industry - a job that’s not as fancy as many would have expected.
She Knows recalled that the youngest Obama spent a few months working at the takeout window of a seafood restaurant known as Nancy’s. Sasha’s determination to live a normal life might have something to do with her parents' upbringing.
USA Today divulged that her mother, Michelle, claimed that she and her man used their childhood experience as “regular folks” to help keep their daughters grounded.
The former First Lady said that up until her husband gave the speech at the convention; they were just regular people.
Although Michelle and Barack had their fair share of emotional moments when their girls left home for college, the girls soon returned to their home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Moms reported that Sasha and Malia have been taking their college classes online and that the current situation might be a welcome change for Malia, who is in her third year at Harvard University.
