Scott Disick — Kourtney Kardashian's Ex and Why His Party Is the First Her Sister Kim Attended Amid Quarantine

5 years after his split from Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick is still very much part of the family, who attended his birthday party despite the lockdown.

Scott Disick turned 37 on May 26, 2020, and despite the social distancing, he celebrated his birthday surrounded by his children, and the Jenner/ Kardashian clan.

Disick, who became a celebrity due to his long-time romance with reality star Kourtney Kardashian is still close to his ex, and to her family, who was there to support him on his special day.

Some fans took the Kardashian/ Jenner presence at Disick's birthday, and Kourtney's provocative outfit at as a hint that the two might be carefully treading the road to reconciliation

SCOTT DISICK'S BIRTHDAY BASH

The little get-together was organized in honor of Disick, and the family was there to celebrate with him -- including the three children he shares with Kourtney, Mason, 10, Penelope, 8, and Reign, 5.

Disick, who lost his mother and his father in 2013 within a few months of each other, and has no siblings, is particularly close to the Jenner/Kardashian clan.

BREAKING CONFINEMENT

Kim Kardashian posted snaps of the get-together, which she describes as "just family," and confided that it was the first contact she'd had with a group of people since the COVID-19 pandemic began. She wrote:

"We celebrated Scott’s bday a few weeks ago with just family and it was really my first time being around a group of people. It was kind of nice but kind of scary too."

Despite Kim's misgivings, it looked as if the Kardashians had a great time at Disick's birthday celebration and Kourtney raised a great deal of comment over her outfit. Disick's ex wore a satiny flame-colored long-sleeved shirt that reached her thighs, and apparently nothing underneath.

There were so many comments on social media, that Kourtney addressed the question of her apparently "pantless" state and revealed that she was wearing a short skirt made from the same fabric underneath.

RUMORS OF RECONCILIATION

The couple separated in 2015, after dating on and off for 9 years, and have remained close, as concerned and devoted parents to their children. Disick had been dating Sofia Richie, daughter of the iconic singer Lionel Richie, but the relationship has recently ended.

SELF-MADE MAN

The years since he split from Kourtney have been difficult for Disick on a personal level, but rewarding professionally. The former model launched a successful fashion line of comfort-wear in 2018, Talentless. Disick has launched a series of hoodies and masks with the pandemic theme under the Talentless label, which has sold out online.

He also has his own TV show, "Flip It Like Disick." The show, which premiered in August 2019 on E! Network, follows Disick as he and his team buy and transform run-down houses and put them up on the market again for a considerable profit -- a classic flip. The series, which featured some of the Kardashians as guests, is a success and has been renewed for a second season.

SCOTT DISICK IN REHAB

In April 2020, Disick, who had previously admitted to a drug and alcohol problem as well as anger-management issues, checked in to a rehab facility in Colorado. His representative stated that Disick was not abusing alcohol or drugs, but seeking help with deep-seated emotional issues.

Disick had apparently been badly shaken by his break-up from Richie, whom he had been dating for 3 years. The former couple, who have a 15-year age difference have remained friends, but according to close friends, they will not be getting back together.

Instead, Disick has been seen with his ex, Kourtney, who has been supportive throughout all the difficult moments in his life since 2006, including the tragic loss of both his parents, which left the former model devastated.

Disick may be an orphan, but as his birthday party proved, he can always count on the Jenner/ Kardashian clan to rally around him, like a real family.

As for Kourtney, their bond, forged in love and friendship and cemented by their three children, appears to be stronger than ever.
