Tika Sumpter Gushes over Her Fiancé Nicholas Muscarella in a Sweet Father's Day Post

Actress Tika Sumpter thanks fiance, Nick James, for his “all-encompassing love” in a sweet father’s day tribute.

The “Haves and Have Nots” actress shared a heartfelt message to her fiancé and father of her daughter on Instagram in celebration of Father’s day.

The post featured an adorable picture of the father-daughter duo looking at seashells. In her caption, she sang Nick's praises, describing him as “the best” and labeling their daughter, Ella-Loren “the luckiest girl on earth.”

[Tika Sumpter] shared her expectations for herself as a mother stating that she wants her daughter to be proud of her irrespective of their differences in hair texture and complexion.

The couple welcomed their baby girl in October 2016. People magazine shares that Tika only hinted about her pregnancy a few weeks before her expected delivery date.

The outlet adds that she disclosed the reason for her secrecy in an interview following the birth of her child. She said, “She’s my first child, and I wanted to experience every moment of this pregnancy for myself and enjoy it without everybody else being in it with me.”

She also reportedly admitted that she was not ready to hear questions about her baby daddy’s identity as she is very protective of her family.

Essence reports that she seems to be living out a bit of her life in her role as Alicia Johnson on ABC’s “mixed-ish.” The character she plays is a mother of three biracial children and she mothers a mixed-race daughter herself.

In her chat with the magazine, she shared her expectations for herself as a mother stating that she wants her daughter to be proud of her irrespective of their differences in hair texture and complexion.

Unlike her beauty, Sumpter’s interracial relationship wasn’t a welcome development for some of her fans. According to BET, the “Southside with You” actress faced backlash on twitter for choosing to have a baby with a white man.

Tika’s relationship with Nick, who also featured in Tyler Perry’s “The Haves and Have Nots,” only came to light after fans reportedly connected the dots using a series of images on the couple’s social media pages.

In another blog-post, Essence recalled James’ Christmas Day proposal to the beautiful actress. He asked their daughter to read a heartfelt letter before popping the question.

The post also revealed that the pair met on the OWN drama set, “The Haves and Have Nots.” With all the drama plaguing their relationship, they have found a way to make light of the criticism thrown their way.

As reported by Madamnoire, the duo threw a jab at their critics when they dressed as Zack Morris and Lisa Turtle of the 90’s sitcom “Saved by the Bell” last Halloween.
