Katy Perry Says Fiancé Orlando Bloom Is Really Excited to Have a Daughter
The arrival of Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's first baby is drawing near, and the "American Idol" judge shared how excited her fiancé is at becoming a girl dad for the first time.
Katy Perry may not know whether the release of her fifth studio album on August 14 will come before the birth of her first baby, but she knows exactly how excited her fiancé, Orlando Bloom is to welcome their baby girl.

During a recent chat with "Karson & Kennedy" on Mix 104.1, Katy gushed about Bloom's eagerness to become a girl dad for the first time. The actor already shares a 9-year-old son named Flynn with his ex Miranda Kerr, so he is "really excited," as Perry added:
"They say that little girls are, you know, daddy's little girl. That's how it's going to be. We'll see."
Even though Perry is equally excited, she's had pregnancy hormones that had her feeling "every emotion under the sun" so far, as she described the current world circumstances as "a wild time to bring a life into the world."
Self-isolating with Bloom amid the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic added to Perry's feelings of anxiety, but even though the "world feels a little uncertain," she can't wait for motherhood.
When it comes to baby names, Perry said that she and Bloom are yet to decide on a specific one because they will know exactly what to name their baby after her birth, as Perry explained:
"I think we've got options and she'll tell us … I'll look at her and go, ‘Oh yeah, yeah, you are her. You are that.'"
With a flair for the unusual, Perry first revealed news of her pregnancy by working it into the end of the music video to her song "Never Worn White" back in March. But the reveal to her family didn't go as smoothly.
Custom labels for wine bottles that revealed the happy news to family never got to serve their intended purpose because Katy Perry's mom spoiled the surprise.
Perry explained that her mom went to check out her wine collection during a visit - which she never did, and noticed the custom labels on the bottles and what the wording said, ousting Perry's plan in the process.
