'Handmaid's Tale' Actress Cherry Jones Opens up about Her Marriage with Wife Sophie Huber

After years in the entertainment industry, Cherry Jones established a name for herself and was recognized in both theater and television.
She has won two Emmy Awards for her roles in “24” and “The Handmaid’s Tale,” and two Tony Awards for her roles in “The Heiress” and “Doubt.”

For years, Jones focused much on acting as her career bloomed, but now she also prioritizes her wife, Sophie Huber.

The couple met when the actress moved into her Los Angeles home and became neighbors with Huber, who resided in one of the apartments.

“Several years later, we became more than just friends,” she said of their relationship, which became legal in 2015 through marriage.
Huber also works in the entertainment industry as a scriptwriter, although she has yet to have plans to work with her partner.
Da Brat was overwhelmed with the support she was given after revealing to the public her relationship with Kaleidoscope Hair Products CEO, Jessica Dupart.

However, she often shares her pages for Jones to read and discuss together. “I feel like she’s including me,” the actress shared. “That’s been a lot of fun.”
COMING OUT AS GAY
Jones never hid her identity from her friends and family, but it wasn’t until someone asked her about it in an interview that she talked about it.

“I just answered, and it was effortless,” Jones said. “It was 1995, and all the hard work had come long before that, with brave LGBTQ people marching and coming out when it was not safe or easy.”
Several celebrities have come out as gay in recent years, including rapper Da Brat, who opened up about her sexuality after over twenty years.

Da Brat was overwhelmed with the support she was given after revealing to the public her relationship with Kaleidoscope Hair Products CEO, Jessica Dupart.
SUCCESSFUL IN THEIR OWN FIELD
Despite being a part of the LGBTQ community, both Jones and Da Brat are still loved and respected by many. Moreover, they are both successful in their respective careers.
Da Brat has been a performer for decades who went down in history as the first female rapper to go platinum in 1994.
Jones has been a Broadway star, giving notable performances since the ‘80s and recently starred in “Chimerica,” where she played a brave journalist.
