HOW THE WORLD REACTED
Da Brat knew what damage coming out could possibly bring to her career, but her choice to keep it private was one she made alone, without any force by managers.
The singer came from a religious family, which made coming out a bit difficult. "You never want to hurt the people that raised you; you don't want to disappoint them," she said.
Although it seems that her family is not exactly for her choice, they still love their daughter "unconditionally" and haven't said anything negative towards Da Brat.
Moreover, the overwhelming response her fans and followers gave warmed the "Give It 2 You" artist's heart and made her realize she could have done the same years back.
Since coming out in March, this year's Pride will be the first of Da Brat. "To me, Pride is loving myself and not making excuses for anything: Live your truth," she shared.
DA BRAT'S SPECIAL BIRTHDAY GIFT

Although it isn't known when the couple met and began dating, they are very much happy in their relationship and are successful in their own career.
Dupart's multimillion-dollar business became a success, thanks to its social media audience and the influencers who promoted Kaleidoscope hair care.
