Magic Johnson's Son Andre Celebrates Father's Day with Heartwarming Posts from Dad & Wife

Andre Johnson, the son of basketball legend Magic Johnson, enjoyed a special Father's Day celebration with his wife and father taking turns to pay him glowing tributes on Instagram.

Magic Johnson and his daughter-in-law, Lisa Meyers, paid tribute to his son, Andre Johnson, on Father's Day, via posts on their Instagram pages. Magic led the way of the tributes, writing:

"Happy Father's Day... @johnsonboywonder81! It's been a blessing to witness your fatherhood journey..."

Accompanying the basketball legend's post was a picture of Andre, his wife, Lisa, and two kids, Avery and Gigi. Lisa Meyers,

"Happy Father's Day @johnsonboywonder81 @magicjohnson and Vate! We love you!"

Lisa's post was accompanied by six different pictures of her husband. The first picture showed her and Andre all smiles as they posed in black tops, while the second photo showed him alone.

The last picture in Lisa's gallery showed Andre and his father with Johnson wearing a white T-shirt, while his son wore a white sleeveless top.

Magic Johnson said that he still talks to his adult sons, Andre and EJ, about how to act when interacting with police officers.

Magic Johnson, who was born in 1959, reached legendary status during his playing days with the LA Lakers, dominating the basketball courts for over a decade.

He retired from the LA Lakers in 1991 after announcing that he was HIV positive, although he came back for a final season in 1996. Johnson is married to Cookie, with whom he shares two kids.

Cookie and Johnson share a son, Earvin "EJ" Johnson, and a daughter, Elisa Johnson, whom they adopted. Andre, the basketballer's oldest child, is from a previous relationship with a former girlfriend, Melissa Mitchell.

While Andre prefers to stay away from the eyes of the public, his younger siblings, EJ and Elisa, are quite popular, with EJ being a star of the reality series, "Rich Kids of Beverly Hills," while Elisa is into fashion.

EJ Johnson came out as gay in 2013, and since then, he has seized his place in the gender revolution with his fame and sense of fashion.

Recently, the world has been plagued by protests following the death of 46-year-old George Floyd while in police custody.

Speaking about the incident, Magic Johnson said that he still talks to his adult sons, Andre and EJ, about how to act when interacting with police officers, to remain safe, adding that what happened to George Floyd could happen to anyone else.
