Heather Locklear's Ex Richie Sambora Is Excited Following News of Her Engagement

Famous American actress Heather Locklear is engaged! The actress is set to marry her high school sweetheart, Chris Heisser, and her ex, Richie Sambora, is reportedly "excited" about the news.

Heather Locklear may be taking a walk down the aisle soon—the 58-year-old actress just got engaged to Chris Heisser.

The two have reportedly been dating on and off since they reunited with each other more than two years ago after their graduation in 1979 from Newbury Park High School in Los Angeles.

Locklear showed off her engagement ring on a June 9 outing in Los Angeles while sporting a mask with the words "I'm smiling" written on it.

Locklear's ex, Richie Sambora, her family members, and friends of the couple are all excited and in support of the relationship— they all confirm that Locklear and Heisser seem to be very happy with each other. A friend said about Locklear,

"After all the fame, she found her way back to a simpler life with the boy she dated in high school... "

Along with the engagement, Locklear made a significant breakthrough as she marked one year of sobriety in April.

In 2019, she completed 30 days in a court-mandated rehab after pleading no contest to minor battery charges resulting from a run-in with a police officer and an EMT.

The talented actress has put those days behind her, and now, she finds fulfillment in more mundane activities, such as gardening and making fantastic dishes for her parents.

She also loves to spend time with her daughter, Ava. The latter recently graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Women and Gender studies.

Though their relationship ended several years ago, Locklear and her ex, Sambora, are still very supportive of each other—like Heisser, he was reportedly there for her all through her struggle with sobriety.

The former couple tied the knot in Paris in December 1994; however, Locklear filed for divorce in early 2006 at a time when her ex was struggling with substance abuse.

The former couple finalized their divorce proceedings in April 2007, and they share daughter, Ava Sambora. Congratulations to the adorable couple!
