Inside 'Melrose Place' Star Heather Locklear's Engagement to Chris Heisser

Heather Locklear is most popular for her role as Amanda Woodward in the hit television soap opera "Melrose Place. Recently, she became engaged to her boyfriend, Chris Heisser.

On June 9, the 58-year-old actress showed off her engagement ring during an outing in Los Angeles, as reported by PEOPLE.

Locklear reunited with her high school sweetheart over two years ago after they graduated from Newbury Park High School in L.A. in 1979. In an interview with the publication, a family friend shared that Locklear and Heisser are thrilled together.

SUPPORTIVE FAMILY

"Her family, her parents, her siblings, Richie [Sambora, her ex] and Ava [her daughter with Sambora] are all supporting her and are excited for her," the friend added.

As reported by Today, Locklear has been engaged with Heisser since the end of April. The twosome became engaged as they were commending the actress's year of sobriety.

In September, Locklear was released from a rehabilitation facility. After the actress pleaded no contest in August following two captures in 2018, a judge had requested her to a residential mental health facility for 30 days.

LEGAL TROUBLES

In February 2018, a domestic violence call was reported at her residence, and Locklear was arrested, as reported by E.T. The actress was charged with four counts of misdemeanor battery.

She was also charged with one of obstructing an officer. According to the police's allegations, Locklear became combative during the arrest. She even battered three deputies.

During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Locklear has reportedly been delivering food to her older parents as well.

"CLEAR-HEADED"

According to the Ventura County DA's Office, Locklear faced three new misdemeanor charges later in 2018. Those charges were battery against an EMT, battery against a police officer, and obstructing a police officer.

Presently, Locklear is in "a great place" and feeling "strong and clear-headed," a source shared. The actress has reportedly been cooking for her family.

During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Locklear has reportedly been delivering food to her older parents as well.

"Heather is healthy, strong, in love and exactly where she wants to be in her life," another source said. "She has come a very long way since her arrests and those closest to her are incredibly proud."

The insider added that the actress wants to live a long healthy life and that she realizes her sobriety is vital to making her relationship with Heisser last forever.
