From there, the exchange gets more unusual by the second. After explaining that the car was a rental and that he had it "just for a couple of days," Timberlake says he is visiting because he is on tour, then clarifies, "Uh, I'm on a world tour."

That part alone might have been enough to get attention, but the officer appears not to recognize him at first. Timberlake then says, "Um. Oh, hard to explain. Um. Um. Uh, World tour. I'm Justin Timberlake." Still, the police seem unfazed by that knowledge.

The footage later shows the singer outside the vehicle during field sobriety testing, where he appears to struggle with some of the instructions. At one point, he even says, "These are like really hard tests."

Another moment in the clip is even more tense. When an officer explains how a breathalyzer works, Timberlake responds, "No," and refuses to be tested.

He is then told he is under arrest for suspicion of driving while intoxicated, prompting him to say, "Guys, come on, man. I'm following my friends home."

An officer tells him he performed poorly on the tests and says, "Based off of his observations, you are intoxicated. Okay? So you are under arrest for DWI." Timberlake then refuses the chemical test and asks what violation led to the stop in the first place.

When the officer repeats that he failed to stop at a stop sign and did not keep right on the roadway, Timberlake answers, "Okay, well, I was just following my friends."

A little later, in one of the most memorable lines from the station footage, he says, "You boys treat me like I'm a criminal."

A source told the outlet he had been with friends at the American Hotel before leaving to drive to a friend's house, adding, "Nobody was hurt."

The outlet also confirmed he was charged with one count of DWI and received two citations, one for running a stop sign and one for failure to keep in the lane.

According to a police statement cited in the report, he was observed operating a 2025 BMW, was arrested after a traffic stop, then processed, held overnight, and arraigned the next morning at 9:30 a.m. before being released on his own recognizance.
