In a recent episode of her podcast show, “Scheananigans,” Shay revealed that she had surprisingly discovered she was pregnant a few weeks ago.
This came as a surprise to her because Shay had her eggs frozen about a year and a half ago, and according to the doctors, it was highly unlikely for her to get pregnant on her own.
Despite the surprise, Shay had been excited to learn that she was expecting and had even started practicing how to be a mother before she lost the baby during a trip to San Diego. While describing her heartbreak over the miscarriage, she said:
“My OB got me in early, they did an ultrasound, and there was no heartbeat…. So obviously, [that was] just devastating….”
Speaking further, Shay revealed that she was still really excited for her former co-host, Stassi Schroeder, who recently announced that she was expecting.
Prior to the heartbreaking miscarriage, Shay reportedly opened up in the past about her desire to have two kids with her athlete boyfriend, Brock Davies.
Back in 2014, Shay tied the knot with Mike Shay, who was her co-star on the Bravo reality tv show, “Vanderpump Rules.”
In January 2019, Shay shared her egg freezing experience with her fans, and according to her, it had been painless and easy for her.
Taking to Instagram, she shared a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed in Southern California Reproductive Center. Captioning the picture, she wrote:
“Today’s the day! Bye bye, eggs! For me personally, this has been a very easy, painless, and awesome experience. Everyone is different, I’m sure.”
Shay continued by encouraging women in their late 20s and early 30s to undergo the procedure if they could afford it. A few months before Shay finally froze her eggs, she reportedly revealed that she was considering the procedure even though it sounded a bit terrifying.
Back in 2014, Shay tied the knot with Mike Shay, who was her co-star on the Bravo reality tv show, “Vanderpump Rules.” The marriage, however, only lasted a few years, and by 2017, they were divorced.
Back in 2018, Shay and some other cast members of “Vanderpump Rules” were rumored to be pregnant, and in response, Shay addressed the rumors and weighed in on the matter stating that she wasn't pregnant.
