The actress recently popped back into the news when she posted a throwback picture of herself via her Instagram page. The photo showed Jaimee tilting her body to the side while rocking a polka dot bodycon dress that showed off her stunning figure.
Jaimee was reunited with her “Family Matters” clan back in 2017. The reunion, which was made possible by Entertainment Weekly, saw the cast gushing about how important they are to one another.
The actress’s post prompted her fans and followers to take to her comment section to praise her for her beauty, with one fan person claiming that it was possible for Jaimee to “hurt somebody” just by looking at her. Her fans were also pleased to see her looking better following her years-long battle with drugs and alcohol addiction.
According to HuffPost, the star’s problem began after she was written off “Family Matters” after a four-year run on the show. Without a job to her name, the then-19-year-old turned to the adult film industry so she could make some money for herself.
Even though she left the industry a while after, the mother-of-one continued to battle her addiction to substances. While she claimed that she was learning how to stay away from the substances in 2008, a significant change only occurred when she learned that she was pregnant for her longtime boyfriend, Michael Shaw.
People would later announce the arrival of the couple’s first child together in 2009. The baby boy, Michael Douglas Shaw Jr., weighed six lbs., 11 oz., at birth.
Unfortunately, things turned sour between Jaimee and her man, just months after the baby’s arrival. Vibe reported that the actress was granted a restraining order against Michael after she alleged that he had been verbally and physically abusive towards her.
The now-40-year-old claimed that Michael harmed her physically when attempted pushing her out of a car as she fed their child. The temporary restraining measure stipulated that Michael must stay at least 100 yards away from Jaimee.
Asides the drama with her son's father, Jaimee was reunited with her “Family Matters” clan back in 2017. The reunion, which was made possible by Entertainment Weekly, saw the cast gushing about how important they are to one another.
The cast also made it clear that they were open to partaking in the possible reboot of the ABC sitcom.
