Steven Spielberg's Daughter Destry Allyn Is Engaged to Genc leGrand – Meet the Couple
Film director, Steven Spielberg’s daughter, Destry Allyn, is set to walk down the aisle following her recent engagement to Genc Legrand.
Destry Allyn Spielberg who is the youngest daughter of Kate Capshaw and Steven Spielberg — recently got engaged to the actor, Genc Legrand, and she couldn’t be happier about the development.

According to People, the 23-year-old broke the news via her Instagram page with two new pictures and the caption, “Holy cannoli, I’m engaged!!! I am so excited to take on life with my best friend! This is the best day ever! I love you so much @legrandgenc.”
Back in 2018, [Destry Allyn] claimed that even though she vowed to stay away from the movie industry when she was younger, she ended up “falling in love” with it.
While the first slide showed Genc and Destry hugging each other, the next slide was a close-up view at the engagement ring.
Shortly after the post was dropped, its comment section quickly got filled with well-wishes and congratulatory messages from Destry’s friends and family, including her sister, Sasha Spielberg.
Following Destry’s engagement, HollywoodLife reported that the Destry and her beau have been an item since December 2017 when they appeared in a picture together.
Although he was able to maintain a low-profile, it was discovered that the Los Angeles-based Genc originated from Switzerland.
The actor, who relocated from Europe to pursue his acting career, attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, where he participated in the Two Year Conservatory Program.
In addition to working on his Method Acting technique at the institute, his resume notes that Genc also worked on the set of Steven’s upcoming film, “West Side Story” as a badge PA.
As for Destry, Town and Country Magazine revealed that the actress is determined to do anything she can — including drop her father’s famous last name — to make her own path in Hollywood.
Back in 2018, the then 21-year-old claimed that even though she vowed to stay away from the movie industry when she was younger, she ended up “falling in love” with it.
That love led her to enrol at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and earn a spot as a stint model for Dolce & Gabbana.
With her appearance in the 2020 miniseries, “I Know This Much Is True,” fans are excited to see the moves Destry will make to attain her dream of being a feature film star.
