Remembering Nick Cordero and Amanda Kloots' Luxurious New York Wedding Celebration
Nick Cordero and Amanda Kloots were not the most well-known celebrities, but the pair's love story was as romantic as they come. Their intimate wedding is one of many things Kloots will remember fondly.
On Sunday, July 5, Amanda Kloots shared the tragic news that her husband, Nick Cordero, had died from the coronavirus's after-effects after a lengthy battle.
Cordero, 41, contracted the illness in March. He subsequently needed to have a leg amputated, fell into a coma for a few days, and battled various infections. In the end, he didn't make it.
"God has another angel in heaven now," wrote Kloots, who has been married to Cordero since 2017. The pair share a one-year-old son, Elvis. He, too, will eventually look back at his parents' time together.
HOW THEY MET AND GOT ENGAGED
It all began when Cordero and Kloots met while working together on "Bullets Over Broadway." The pair would enjoy their first dance to the play's main song, "It Had to be You."
In May 2020, Kloots revealed that Cordero proposed to her near the Hudson Valley a day after her birthday. The trip was a surprise, and Cordero kept the location a secret until they arrived.
"He got down on one knee and said a beautiful little speech that, you know, of course I can't remember," recalls Kloots. She promptly told Cordero, "yes," and the pair had pancakes for breakfast.
A NEW YORK WEDDING NO ONE CAN FORGET
They were wed within months and would dance to their first song during the wedding reception. Kloots shared a clip of the dance in April in one of many updates that would follow regarding Cordero's health.
At the time, Cordero had just had surgery and seemed to be on the road to recovery. He was in a coma, but the doctor said he was doing his best, which Kloots appreciated.
Kloots and Cordero's wedding took place at the Skylark — a lounge cocktail restaurant located 30 floors up in Times Square, New York. Videographer Daniel Kaufman shared an edit of the occasion.
A SMALL WEDDING WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY
In it, we see the intimate wedding the pair held. According to Brides.com, only 70 guests attended. Kloots looking stunning in an original Lee Grebanau gown, which she reportedly requested to showcase her legs.
The customized piece featured a gold metallic sheer bottom that displayed the celebrity fitness trainer's gorgeous legs. She styled her hair in a simple yet elegant top-knot bun.
Cordero wore a tailored Boglioli tux. The beautiful bridesmaids matched in their selection of Fame & Partners dresses, which donates sales proceeds to women's charities.

SEALING THEIR LOVE IN DANCE & LAUGHTER
Kloots was walked in by her father while the couple's best friend officiated the ceremony. "By the power vested in me by www.howtogetmarried.com..." he joked to the delight of then-newlyweds and guests.
Afterward, the group enjoyed sipping on prosecco and cassis cocktails and dining on filet mignon, among other menu items. They sat in luxurious gray Chiavari chairs.
However, almost everyone stood up to view the pair showing off their exceptional skills on the dance floor during the night. It was certainly a dance to remember for the now-mourning Kloots.
