The Mirror: See Who Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Have Chosen as Their Daughter's Godmother

Singer Katy Perry and fiancé Orlando Bloom are expecting their first child together and according to “The Mirror,” the couple has named the child’s godmother.

Perry, 35, and Bloom, 43, are set to welcome their first child sometime in August 2020. However, in the meantime, the couple has made sure that the child has a godmother in case something happened to them.

“The Mirror” has reported that the star’s first child would have actress Jennifer Aniston, 51, as he/she’s godmother. The “Friends” star is a close friend of the pop singer and they’ve been friends for nearly a decade.

KATY IS CLOSE TO JENNIFER

According to a source, Aniston allegedly wept when the couple asked her. Speaking about Perry and Aniston’s relationship the insider revealed:

“Katy and Jen are very close.”

The source also shared: “During lockdown they went for socially distanced walks, and spent lots of time catching up.” Aniston was said to be “pretty chuffed” about being asked to be the child’s godmother.

ANNOUNCING HER PREGNANCY

In her March 2020, music video for “Never Worn White,” Perry announced her pregnancy. In the footage, the musician was seen wearing a white dress and cradling a baby bump.

HIDING HER BABY BUMP

She later confirmed the news of her pregnancy via social media. Perry joked about how she’d kept her pregnancy a secret by sucking her stomach in to hide the baby bump or “carry around a big purse…”

PERRY’S GENDER REVEAL

A few days later the “Roar” singer took to Instagram to share an image of Bloom covered in pink-colored frosting. The photo was from a gender reveal celebration that confirmed the couple was having a baby girl.

HARRY STYLES KNEW ABOUT PREGNANCY

During a DJ set on “BBC Radio 1,” Perry revealed who she’d told about her pregnancy before announcing it to the world. She explained how she and Harry Styles had been on the same flight talking when she suddenly shared that she was pregnant.

The “American Idol” co-host revealed his reaction stating: "He was so happy for me. He actually ... .he was so sweet.”
