China McClain Asks People to Pray for Naya Rivera's Son Josey after the Actress' Sudden Death
China McClain has appealed to her fans to pray for Naya Rivera’s son following the tragic passing of the beloved “Glee” alum.
Soon after Naya Rivera was pronounced dead by Ventura County authorities, several celebrities, including China McClain, took to their social media platforms to pay their tributes.

Along with a sweet picture that featured Naya smiling at her son Josey Hollis Dorsey, 4, China wrote, “I didn’t know Naya, but she was always sweet to Lauryn when they worked together. Please pray for her son y’all.”
Just before [Naya's] death, the “Glee” alum and her son rented a boat that they used at Lake Piru. However, Josey was found by himself on the pontoon boat after a few hours.
China’s fans made no hesitation in telling her that they would do as she asked while liking the post nearly 300,000 likes. The “How to Build a Better Boy” star’s post comes just a day after CNN reported that Naya used her last strength to save Josey.
According to the outlet, Bill Ayub, the Ventura County Sheriff said during a press conference, that “she mustered enough energy to get her son back onto the boat, but not enough to save herself.”

The little boy subsequently informed authorities that he and his mother had gone swimming, but she never came out of the water. Amid the show of love they received, TMZ revealed that Naya’s family sent out a statement that read:
“While we grieve the loss of our beautiful legend, we are blessed to honor her everlasting legacy and magnetic spirit.”
People Magazine noted that the family also expressed their gratitude to “the Ventura, Tulare, and San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Departments” for their hard work and commitment to finding Naya.
The family concluded the statement by asking for privacy to deal with the loss of their “sassy angel.” As for China, Rolling Out recounted that the actress began gaining popularity after she starred in movies such as “The Gospel” and “Daddy’s Little Girls.”
China’s fame has continued to grow with her appearance in Disney’s “A.N.T. Farm,” Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne,” “Descendants 2,” “Ten,” and “Black Lightning.”
