The couple, who secretly married in January 2019, celebrated their first wedding anniversary early this year. The 36-year old superstar and the New York Police Department officer exchanged sweet messages on Instagram, as reported by People.
Lambert met her husband in November 2018 while promoting her new music with Pistol Annies on "Good Morning America." The singer said she "fell hard" the moment she met the police officer.
She added that McLoughlin, a New York native, was the one who "opened her eyes to the world." Before him, Lambert was married to fellow country musician Blake Shelton from 2011 to 2015.
The 36-year-old country star has been isolating with McLoughlin. They have kept each other's company since the mandatory quarantine was imposed, as reported by People.
They had fun in the first month of quarantine after her shows were canceled and pushed to October. In March, Miranda and her husband spent time on their farm in Nashville.
After being cozy at home for several weeks, Lambert said she is now beginning to wonder when she will be able to go back to work. She also missed her friends and family.
The country musician had a hard time adjusting as she can’t play music in front of a crowd. She also doesn't like singing online. To address this situation, she and McLoughlin took her new trailer vehicle out on the road, as reported by CMT News.
Lambert shared a photo on Instagram about her additional vintage trailer collection - “The Sheriff" - a 2020 Airstream Globetrotter. She has been traveling with a trailer since May. She said:
“Just because I can’t travel and play shows doesn’t mean I can’t travel and make music. I have the most amazing travel companion, my husband, and we decided to add a family member.”
For Lambert and McLoughlin, the pandemic has a silver living - it gave them a chance to create memories and make their relationship stronger. Their cross-country travel became even more special when they became "fur parents."
As reported by Fox News, the couple is busy taking care of their new kitten named, "Tequila." The kitten was rescued while they were on a Texas highway.
An animal lover and an activist, Lambert fell in love with their new pet. The couple took the cat and became their road travel buddy.
