Daily Joke: A Seaman Fearlessly Faced His Enemies
Captain Bravo, the leader of the Die Young ship, was the type of man who never showed fear, not even when facing his enemies.
On a clear day, the Die Young ship and its crew were making their way to the Optus port when a lookout spotted a black flag with a skull and two swords on it. It was a pirate ship.
Everyone onboard of the Die Young became frantic. Everyone but Captain Bravo, of course. Instead, he yelled: "Bring me my red shirt!"
In less than a minute, the first mate gave his captain the red shirt. While wearing it, Bravo led his men into combat and defeated the opposing crew.
Unfortunately, only a couple of hours after their first battle, the lookout spotted two pirate ships. Again, Bravo called for his red shirt, and, against all the odds, his crew defeated both ships!
That evening, the crew of the Die Young ship got together to talk about the incredibly long and challenging day they had. Suddenly, one of them asked Captain Bravo: "Sir, why do you call for your red shirt before battle?"
Bravo, heroic as always, replied: "If I get wounded during the battle, my red shirt will not show my blood. For that reason, you, my brave men, will continue to fight, unafraid."
For the rest of the night, the whole crew stayed silent as if the words of Captain Bravo were slowly sinking in. Word spread quickly about the Die Young heroic battles, which is why, as dawn came the next morning, the lookout spotted ten pirate ships coming their way.
The whole crew looked at Captain Bravo. Then, the first mate asked: "Shall I bring your red shirt?" Captain Bravo calmly replied:
"No. Get me my brown pants!"
RIDE OR DIE?
Another joke tells the story of two friends who, after several years, met at a restaurant to have something to eat and catch up.
While eating, one of them, John, told the other, Fred, that he was going through a very difficult time, financially speaking.
John added that he needed to pay the rent the following day and that he had no idea how he would come up with the money, which was why he contacted Fred. After hearing his friend's dilemma, Fred enthusiastically said:
"Well, that's good to hear. I was afraid you might have an idea that you could borrow it from me!"
They're probably not that close.
