See How Magic Johnson's Eldest Son Andre Honored His Grandma Christine on Her 85th Birthday

Andre Johnson took to Instagram where he shared a throwback photo and a touching tribute in honor of his grandmother, Christine who recently celebrated her 85th birthday.

Magic Johnson's mother, Christine recently turned 85 and the older woman was met with lots of love and well wishes from her family, including her grandson, Andre Johnson.

Taking to Instagram, Andre shared a throwback photo that featured Christine posing alongside four other people. In his caption, he wished his grandmother a happy birthday while referring to her as the matriarch of the Johnson family.

He continued by thanking Christine for being a true light and a reflection of God's love to everyone she met. Andre expressed his appreciation for having the older woman in his life and concluded his note by adding,

"We honor you on your special day and may God continue to bless you."

Andre is the first son of former basketball player, Magic Johnson, who had a successful career playing with the Los Angeles Lakers. In addition to Andre's post, Christine also got a sweet tribute from her son who spared no words in wishing his mom a happy birthday.

Sharing a photo of himself and Christine posing alongside his wife, Cookie, Magic honored his mom with a touching note where he referenced the Bible verses, Proverbs 31:28-29.

Last September, the couple celebrated two significant milestones in their lives.

Magic concluded his tribute by thanking God for Christine's life and praying that she would be blessed with many more years. Magic's wife, Cookie also took out time to wish her mother-in-law a happy birthday with an Instagram tribute that read,

Cookie and Magic got married in September 1991 and they have been going strong ever since. Last September, the couple celebrated two significant milestones in their lives. First, Cookie and Magic turned 60 and marked the occasion with a party held in St. Tropez, France.

In addition to that, the duo also celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary and from the sweet words they dedicated to each other, it's certain that their love transcends.
