Antonio Banderas Tests Positive for COVID-19 on His 60th Birthday – Inside His Statement

Star actor Antonio Banderas opened up, in a candid social media post, about his COVID-19 diagnosis, which came out positive on his birthday and also detailed his symptoms.

Many celebrities have come out to share their experiences with COVID-19 and their journey to recovery. This time, Spanish actor Antonio Banderas shared his ordeal with the novel coronavirus.

On Instagram, Banderas, a five-time Golden Globe award winner, shared that his COVID-19 test came out positive on the day he marked his 60th birthday.

BANDERAS ON COVID-19

The actor, who doubles as a movie director, addressed his fans in a lengthy write up while he attached a throwback photo of himself as a toddler. The black-and-white image presented a smiling Banderas sitting on a tiled floor with a flower pot behind. The caption read in English:

"...I am forced to celebrate my 60th birthday following quarantine, having tested positive for the COVID-19 disease…"

The 60-year-old Hollywood actor stated that he felt assured that he would recover in no time as he felt relatively well. Banderas mentioned that his symptoms were limited to occasional tiredness. While in quarantine, the movie star plans to spend his time reading and writing.

CELEBRITIES WHO HAD COVID-19

Fans would reckon that since the breakout of the novel coronavirus, many celebrities have come up to share their diagnosis and experiences of COVID-19. Doja Cat broke the news of her diagnosis back in July in an Instagram live session.

Another test was conducted, and doctors discovered she had the COVID-19 antibodies.

Doja stated that she was clueless about how she contracted the virus. After going through a four-day anxiety period, she started feeling better.

Hollywood icon Mel Gibson came down with COVID-19 in April and spent one week at the hospital. He later tested negative several times to confirm full recovery.

ALYSSA MILANO TESTED POSITIVE

"Melrose Place" star Alyssa Milano shared a revealing post of her COVID-19 status to fans on Instagram, where she detailed her symptoms.

The actress initially tested negative to the novel coronavirus on two different occasions in March. Milano mentioned that despite her tests, she still had the COVID-19 symptoms.

Another test was conducted, and doctors discovered she had the COVID-19 antibodies. She told fans in her post, "I thought I was dying. It felt like I was dying…"

While different celebrities had varying symptoms ranging from mild to extreme, they all had safety advice for their fans and the general public.
