Life & Style: Kelly Clarkson Enjoys Being Busy Amid Divorce from Brandon Blackstock
Kelly Clarkson is keeping her hands full amid her divorce proceedings from estranged Brandon Blackstock. Being occupied at work is what the singer has always wanted, a source claimed.
"Since U Been Gone" songstress Kelly Clarkson, 38, has been hosting for "The Voice" and judging for "America's Got Talent," filling in Simon Cowell's spot. As reported by Life & Style, both TV programs show off Clarkson's fun personality. The source said:

Clarkson and Blackwater, who were married for nearly seven years, share two children, River, 5, and Remington, 4. The Grammy winner, on June 4, filed for divorce, reportedly due to "irreconcilable differences."
More than a week after their split, Clarkson posted her cover of Aretha Franklin's song, "Chain of Fool," on her online show, "The Kelly Clarkson Show." It was uploaded on June 16, prompting fans to speculate that her song was meant for her husband.
Her song cover marked her return to Los Angeles after she quarantined in Montana, where she lived with her husband. In the video, she said she wanted to make some "fun music," to balance a complicated time.
Clarkson's workaholic vibe has expanded to an outreach program. She recently took part in the "Lead With Love" telethon for a Los Angeles-based organization called "Project Angel Food."
She also delivered a passionate cover of U2's "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For." More artists are also featured in the telethon, including Elton John, Sharon Stone, and Kelly Osbourne.
The singer also wanted her legal name to be restored, as indicated in the couple's prenuptial agreement.
Before the telethon activity, Clarkson won a Daytime Emmy Award for her talk show, "The Kelly Clarkson Show." In a June 27 tweet, Clarkson thanked her husband, who is also her manager, for convincing her to do the show.
After her early filing of divorce, a source said that the singer is prioritizing her children. As reported by People, the couple's separation date has yet to be known as it was listed as "TBD."
The source added that while their marriage was stable, cracks in their relationship was amplified when they isolated in Montana, describing it as a "stressful time."
Aside from irreconcilable differences, Clarkson also requested that she would not be required to pay 43-year-old Blackstock spousal support.
The singer also wanted her legal name to be restored, as indicated in the couple's prenuptial agreement.
The former couple tied the knot in October 2013. It was the singer's first marriage while it was the second time for Blackstock. The latter has two children from his first marriage.

Clarkson appeared in the first round of the competition's live show performances. Cowell took to Twitter to express his gratitude to Clarkson's immediate rescue of the show.
