One Direction's Liam Payne Confirms His Engagement to Maya Henry

Wedding bells will soon ring for Liam Payne. The One Direction band member has confirmed his engagement to model girlfriend, Maya Henry.

On September 3, Liam Payne, 27, shared on "Good Morning America" that he and fiancé Maya Henry will walk down the wedding aisle soon. He said:

"We're just really happy."

Payne reportedly proposed to Henry in August. Meanwhile, the "For You" singer, who recently celebrated his birthday, also shared that his three-year-old child, Bear, has gone to school for the first time.

He shares Bear with 37-year-old former X-Factor judge and singer, Cheryl. The former couple, who started dating in 2016, welcomed their son in 2017. They split in 2018.

Payne recently had a daring photoshoot for Hugo Boss with Stella Maxwell.

As for Payne and Henry, they were first linked to each other in 2018. The following year, the pair went public about their relationship.

Falling head over heels for Henry, Payne gushed about her fiancé in September 2019. The "Stack It Up" crooner thanked her for making him smile despite his life challenges.

In a 2019 interview, Payne revealed he struggled with alcohol and even went to therapy. He shared that his life changed for the better when he met Bear.

Besides his engagement, there is one more occasion Payne is celebrating - the 10th anniversary of One Direction.

On June 14, he shared an anniversary tribute in line with the group's ten years of making music. He, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson hit 2 billion streams on their first album.

He posted a throwback photo of himself in one of his X-Factor auditions. In the photo, Payne donned a tight-fitting white shirt and jeans along with his iconic floppy hair.

The group announced an indefinite hiatus in 2015, four months after Malik left the group. Looking back, Payne said the decision was "dark and twisted."

But their hiatus also paved the way for Payne's solo career. He has been experimenting with music. His 2019 debut album "LP1" has trop house, Latin pop, and trap music influences.

More recently, Payne had a daring photoshoot for Hugo Boss with Stella Maxwell. Amid all his gigs while raising a child, Payne seems to be managing his life well.

Back in July, One Direction shocked their fans when they posted announcements on their social media accounts. The last time they shared an update related to their band was in 2016.

However, some fans expressed that chances for a group reunion were slim, with each band member already establishing unique singing styles.
