Reese Witherspoon Posts Hilarious Meme of How She Plans to Get through the Rest of the Year

Apart from her impeccable acting skills, Reese Witherspoon has also become quite famous for her fun and witty persona. She recently showed that as she described her mood for the rest of the year.

Reese Witherspoon took to Instagram to share a meme of herself, describing how she feels as the year draws to a close. Needless to say, the description was quite apt.

Witherspoon’s meme was a picture from “Wild,” a 2014 adventure drama that she starred in. It featured a scene where her character, Cheryl Strayed, strapped a set of bags as she hiked through a 1,000-mile trail.

Written on the bags were the remaining months of the year — September, October, November, and December. Witherspoon, looking stern, wore a white shirt and blue shorts as she focused on the hike.

The actress explained that the meme perfectly depicted how she was moving through the end of the year. In her captions, she said:

“Getting thru the last few months of 2020 like.... #wegotthis ??”

Considering how much has happened in 2020, Witherspoon’s meme is a pretty accurate one. The world has been through deaths, a global health crisis, and much more.

At this point, many just want to be done with the year and hope that 2021 brings better occurrences. Of course, there are still four months to go.

Witherspoon explained that she would rather be funny than sexy in her roles.

Witherspoon has never been one to shy away from using memes to express herself. She’s even poked fun at herself for her homeschooling struggles amid the lockdown.

Last month, the actress shared a set of memes that described how she had been through the year. Like this one, the meme was accurate as it moved between the months.

The actress’s witty side has also been a staple of her characters in movies. For someone who has been acting for over two decades, Witherspoon seems to have more funny roles.

Speaking to news sources, Witherspoon explained that she would rather be funny than sexy, in her roles. As she explained, there’s a pressure for most female actors to show off more of their sexy side. However, she doesn’t care much.

Explaining further, Witherspoon stated that being funny can’t go obsolete in acting. On the other hand, those who flaunt their sex appeal only have limited time.

The actress added that since she has never seen herself based on the sex appeal she brings, it doesn’t matter much to her. For now, she’d rather take on roles that make her feel comfortable and confident than those which require sex appeal.
