Here's How Kate Hudson, Zooey Deschanel & Cameron Crowe Marked 'Almost Famous' 20th Anniversary

American actresses Kate Hudson, Zoe Deschanel, and movie director Cameron Crowe came together on Sunday to mark the 20th anniversary of the hit film, "Almost Famous."

Twenty years after the release of "Almost Famous," the lead actresses, Kate Hudson, Zoe Deschanel, and director Cameron Crowe came together to mark the anniversary on social media.

Deschanel, much to the excitement of her fans and followers, posted old scenes from the movie on her Instagram page as she then made a tribute below the legendary photos.

Crowe, on the other hand, shared a black-and-white photo on Twitter. The photo was taken just after the last scene shot and showed the star wrapped in a tight hug with the cast, crew, and friends.

Hudson also took to her Instagram and posted a nice candid shot of her, taken on set as the sun shone beautifully behind. Beneath the photo, she captioned:

The hit movie was released on 13 September 2000. It was about a 15-year-old William Miller (played by actor Patrick Fugit), who had landed a life-changing opportunity to escort a popular band on tour.

Hudson had played the role of Peggy Lane, while Deschanel had taken the part of Anita Miller, William's older sister.

The film got nominated for and won many awards the following year.

In an old interview with Hudson back when the movie was made, she disclosed that she had been so excited to be a part of the movie. The root of her enthusiasm had been the idea of working with director Cameron Crowe.

The then 21-year-old said she would have been more than happy to play an extra, but she eventually got the role of Peggy Lane, which had been a significant career boost for then-young actress.

Besides being beautifully written, the actresses had given such remarkable performances that the film got nominated for and won many awards the following year. Hudson and Crowe had been recipients of many.

The film had also set other actors, such as Jimmy Fallon, Rain Willson, Billy Crudup, and many others, on the path to stardom. It had reportedly been a turning point for the stars and helped launch their careers.

Over the years, the actors continued to flourish and remain in the limelight. Hudson, Deschanel, and Crowe continued to give award-winning performances while Fallon went on to become a household name.

No doubt, the hit film "Almost Famous" had been a notable hit in the lives of the stars. It had certainly transformed them from being "almost famous" to forever famous.
