Watch Carole Baskin Rock DWTS Stage with Fiery Paso Doble Performance to 'Eye of the Tiger'

“Tiger King” star Carole Baskin is one of the celebrities starring on “Dancing with the Stars” and this week she wowed her fans and the judges when she took on the Paso Doble.

On Monday, September 14, 2020, “Dancing with the Stars (DWTS)” premiered its season’s first episode with Carole Baskin, 59, taking on the Paso Doble. She and her professional dancer partner, Pasha Pashkov, thrilled the viewers by dancing to the song “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor.

Baskin was dressed in animal-print with an animal theme for her dance as she invoked her reality show Netflix’s “Tiger King.” The reality star is a big-cats rights activist.

BASKIN’S LOW SCORE

Judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough ended up giving her and Pashkov the lowest score of the night with 11/30. Last week, Baskin told, “Entertainment Tonight,” that "Eye of the Tiger" was actually her first song choice.

The Big Cat Rescue CEO also teased what fans could expect stating: "The people in wardrobe asked me what they could do and I told them to go just absolutely wild." She added that viewers would be as surprised as she would be.

CHANGING PERCEPTIONS

In a previous interview with “Extra,” the reality star explained how she hoped starring on DWTS would change the public's perception of her. She hoped to change the narrative of her being a villain and bring the focus on how animals were being exploited and abused.

CAROLE ON “TIGER KING”

On the "Tiger King," documentary viewers got to see how she and Joe Exotic became rivals. Exotic was responsible for hiring a hitman to kill Baskin and he’s now serving 22 years in prison.

REHEARSING FOR DWTS

Speaking to “People” magazine, Baskin confessed how her rehearsals for DWTS were going. She shared that they were moving along quite easier than expected.

BEING INTIMIDATED

The star admitted that she was initially intimidated when she saw some rehearsal clips on YouTube. However, now she believes that she could make it work.

NO LIVE AUDIENCE ON DWTS

The 29th season of DWTS had no live audience due to the current novel coronavirus pandemic. "Dancing with the Stars" will return on September 22, 2020, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
