DWTS Pro Artem Chigvintsev Wants to Put Possible Mirrorball Trophy over His Son Matteo's Crib

On September 14, 2020, “Dancing with the Stars” aired its first season 29 episode. One of the professional dancers, Artem Chigvintsev, has since revealed that he intends on winning the Mirrorball trophy.

Speaking to “Entertainment Tonight,” after the premiere of “Dancing with the Stars (DWTS)” Artem Chigvintsev, 38, confessed his plans for the show. His partner on the latest season is Kaitlyn Bristowe and they had their first performance on Monday.

After the show, the professional dancer revealed how his performance with Bristowe went by quickly and he couldn’t recall parts of it. The star, who is engaged to fiancée Nikki Bella, 36, also shared that he received a gift from “Good Morning America (GMA).”

GMA'S GIFT FOR SON

Chigvintsev shared that when he was announced on GMA, the show: “Decided to give me a present so that there was a little outfit for Matteo in the shape of a mirrorball trophy with rhinestones.” Matteo Artemovich, 1-month-old, was dressed in the outfit to support his father’s team.

The dancer also shared the image on Instagram with his followers. Someone even suggested that the new parents should hang the Mirrorball trophy, if Chigvintsev wins, over the boy’s crib.

The star revealed that he had the same thought stating: "I was just saying the same thing to Nicole, it's like, the only thing that is missing on the crib is the mirrorball.” He and Bella met in 2016 on DWTS when they were dance partners.

CELEBRATING ARTEM’S DWTS ROLE

Ahead of DWTS’s premiere, Bella shared an adorable video of herself and her fiancé to celebrate his return to the ABC dance series. In the hidden camera clip, Chigvintsev twirled his fiancée in front of their son's changing table.

SOME PDA FROM THE COUPLE

The couple then slow danced and kissed and at one point, she gave Chigvintsev's bottom a squeeze while he had his back toward the camera. The professional dancer came back to the show after being left out of season 28.

CONFIRMING ARTEM’S ROLE

On August 24, 2020, ABC confirmed on GMA that he was coming back as a professional dancer. The morning show also revealed the celebrity cast on September 2, 2020.

NIKKI AND ARTEM’S ENGAGEMENT

Chigvintsev and Bella were engaged during a trip to France in November 2019. The former WWE wrestler and the professional dancer welcomed the little boy on July 31, 2020.
