AGT Singer Cristina Rae Delivers a Bewitching Performance with Her Rendition of 'Jump'
On the latest episode of “America’s Got Talent” Cristina Rae wowed the audience, viewers, and judges with her powerful and enthralling rendition of the song “Jump.”
For Tuesday’s episode of “America’s Got Talent (AGT),” contestant Cristina Rae sang in the semifinals. The singer wowed everyone with a rendition of “Jump” from the 2017 documentary “STEP.”
Cynthia Erivo originally sang the amazing soundtrack. Rae did justice to the track earning herself a standing ovation from everyone in the room.

RAE’S BACKGROUND STORY
For her initial audition for AGT, Rae received a Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum when the actress was left in awe of her story and talent. The singer moved the AGT judges when she shared her story of single motherhood, homelessness, and sleeping in her car while pregnant.
Even though Cristina Rae had a tough time with her finances, her son didn’t know about it.
Rae has been raising her toddler son, Jeremiah, on her own. The contestant then continued stunning the nation with her incredible performance during the quarterfinals and an impassioned rendition of the track “Hallelujah.”
CRISTINA’S WISHES FOR SON
Before Tuesday’s performance, Rae explained how her son was her life’s inspiration and motivation. In a pre-taped airing before her performance she said:
"I want Jeremiah to seat world as a special, magical place."
Having been homeless, the contestant explained that she felt it was her duty to shelter her son from all the bad things she experienced. If she keeps performing the way she has, she might end up changing her story to something more positive.
WANTING THE BEST FOR HER SON
She revealed that even though she had a tough time with her finances, her son didn’t know about it. The reason why she kept it a secret was that she wanted “him to reach for the stars."
“AMERICA’S GOT TALENT” JUDGES
Besides Klum, AGT is judged by Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara, while Terry Crews serves as the host. In early September 2020, during the first night of the live semifinal's results show, 11 contestants got to give it their all in front of the judges and audience.

Only five of them were left on the talent competition and made it to the next round. “America's Got Talent season 15 will air next Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
