Chris Cuomo's wife, Cristina Cuomo, shared an adorable photo of her mother-in-law, Matilda, alongside a heartwarming birthday tribute to celebrate the older woman's 89th birthday.

Chris Cuomo's mother, Matilda, turned 89 recently, and the older woman was met with a sweet tribute from her daughter-in-law, Cristina Cuomo.

Taking to Instagram, Cristina shared an outdoor photo of her mother striking a pose with Matilda as they both flashed charming, heartfelt smiles.

While Matilda rocked a patterned jacket with pants, Cristina's mother, Regina, donned a gorgeous dress and a little coat. Cristina accompanied the picture with a caption where she described Matilda as an amazing mother-in-law. She also wrote:

"As a role model mother/grandmother and trailblazer in education and mentoring, she has created heroic outcomes in her family and communities."

Cristina concluded by wishing Matilda a happy birthday while adding that she is the kindest person she knows, after her mother. Shortly after sharing the picture, fans and followers took to her comments section to leave their best wishes for Matilda.

In addition to Chris, Matilda is a mother to four other children, all of whom she shares with her husband, former governor of New York State, Mario Cuomo, who passed away in 2015.

While Andrew has made a name for himself as a politician, Chris has also gained fame for his show "Cuomo Prime Time."

The couple tied the knot in 1954 and remained married for 60 years until Mario's death. Today, they have been described as one of the greatest love stories of all time.

During the Mother's Day celebration in May, Matilda explained that she believes her husband is guiding their children and giving them strength through their life journey.

The older woman also noted that one of the most important lessons a mother can pass down to her children is to treat others how they want to be treated.

Therefore, it came as a surprise when Matilda's first son, Andrew Cuomo, who doubles as the current governor of New York State, pulled a sweet move for her on Mother's Day.

During his daily briefing about the COVID-19 pandemic status in his state, Andrew invited Matilda to join him via video call, during which he wished her a happy Mother's Day.

While Andrew has made a name for himself as a politician, Chris has also gained fame for his show "Cuomo Prime Time," which he hosts on CNN.
