DRESSED UP FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION
The video progressed and with the wink of his eye, it zoomed out to reveal a fully dressed up Anderson posing for photographs as he showed off his polished look with a shiny suit on.
The "Black-ish" star looked dapper in the beige look. His hair was neatly trimmed and styled and so was his beard. In the caption, he mentioned how he went from COVID quarantine to COVID clean.
Anderson did not dress up for no reason. He turned up the glam to take the stage during the 2020 Emmy Awards to present the coveted award for outstanding limited series. While his look was certainly amazing, his appearance became memorable for whole other reasons.
He might not have meant to come on too strong, but his Emmys speech did not get positive feedback from the viewers.

HIS EMMY SPEECH
As he took the stage after the host Jimmy Kimmel called him on, the actor strutted in and took the opportunity to make a short statement about inclusion and the Black Lives Matter movement.
Even though Kimmel told him that it was not what they had decided during the rehearsal, Anderson cut him off and went on to share that they had a record number of Black nominees this year.
He then said that it was the part where white people start to applaud, instructing Kimmel to applaud and accompany it with nods.
The host awkwardly complied and Anderson continued his speech to say that there would be a whole lot of Black people there if it was not for the COVID-19 pandemic.
Anderson said that it was not what it should have been, but he was still rooting for the Black folks. He then urged Kimmel to say "Black Lives Matter" out loud again and again.

VIEWERS DID NOT APPROVE OF HIS BEHAVIOR
He might not have meant to come on too strong, but his Emmys speech did not get positive feedback from the viewers.
The video was later shared by the official YouTube channel of Kimmel's show "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and people bombarded the comment section to share that they were not pleased with Anderson's behavior.
Most of the users thought he should have weighed his words more carefully and that he was being racist when he said he was rooting only for the Black people. They were also unamused by the way he treated Kimmel on stage.
