Alec Baldwin & Hilaria Share Funny Story about the Actor Getting a Meal While She Was in Labor

Alec Baldwin and his wife recently appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” where they shared a hilarious story about the birth of the lastborn boy child.

Alec Baldwin, 62, and his wife Hilaria, 36, featured remotely on Ellen DeGeneres’ show on Wednesday. The couple debuted their newborn son, Eduardo Pau Lucas Baldwin, who was born on September 8, 2020.

Hilaria and Alec are now parents to a total of five children. The pair also shares sons Rafael Thomas, 5, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 4, and Romeo Alejandro David, 2, and daughter Carmen Gabriela, 7.

STOPPING FOR FOOD

While speaking to DeGeneres, the talk show host asked the actor if it was true that he stopped for food while his wife had contractions. Alec, who was initially sitting in the interview alone, started off by denying the story and joking:

“I resent my wife for lying that I put my gastronomic needs ahead of her needs."

HILARIA GIVES PROOF

The “Saturday Night Live” star then called the “Mom Brain” podcast host over, and Hilaria appeared cradling baby Eduardo. Not willing to budge, the fitness instructor revealed that she had photographic proof.

The proof was an Instagram Story post that showed her husband eating the takeout on a New York City street. However, she did admit that the food run was actually her idea.

WHY ALEC STOPPED FOR FOOD

Hilaria explained to DeGeneres and the audience that during her last two births her husband was invited into the labor room until she’d gotten her epidural. The author explained that she kept him out because he drove her crazy during birth.

Alec also revealed one perk about having children at a later stage in life.

She shared that things were different now because of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease. Unfortunately, Alec had to go in with her so she had to make a plan.

HILARIA ASKES ALEC TO EAT

While they were walking around and she’s experiencing contractions, she made a request to him. Hilaria earnestly asked the actor:

“'Please eat something because later on, I'm going to kill you if you don't eat something because I'm not going to be able to handle you.'"

ACTOR HAS TAKEOUT

So while he ate a quiche, his first takeout meal in six months, his wife kept herself busy. She confessed to the talk show host that she bounced from side-to-side while timing her contractions, talk about being a strong woman!

The couple, who got married in 2012, announced their son's arrival on Instagram a day after his birth. They also gave fans a sneak peek with a photo of themselves in the hospital with their newborn son.

ALEC’S OTHER CHILD

In actual fact, Hilaria is a mother to five children but Alec is a parent to six offspring. The actor also shares another daughter, Ireland, 24, with his ex-wife, actress Kim Basinger.

Alec also revealed one perk about having children at a later stage in life. The comedian noted how his friend shared that he shouldn’t worry about parenting at his age because he’d be deaf by the time his children started saying things he didn’t like.
