ARCHIE’S BIRTHDAY & FAMILY MOURNS
Lyndhurst would’ve turned 20 over the weekend if he hadn’t died after a short illness. On CBBC’s “So Awkward,” the late star had featured as the character of Ollie Coulton.
Reacting to their son’s death, earlier last week, Lyndhurst's father Nicholas and his wife, Lucy, gave a statement. They said to “People” magazine:
"Lucy and I are utterly grief stricken and respectfully request privacy."
PRODUCTION COMPANY PAYS TRIBUTE
The late young actor’s father is well-known for his role in “Only Fools and Horses.” The independent production company that makes Lyndhurst’s show, Channel X North, also released a statement.
The company shared its shock and sadness on hearing the news about the actor’s death. He was described as a kind-hearted and generous young man.
HONORING LYNDHURST
Channel X North also noted how it had been an honor for them to work with Lyndhurst for seven years. The company called him an immensely talented performer.
They vowed to never forget the contribution he made on and off-screen to “So Awkward.” The company also shared their thoughts with his family and friends.
ARCHIE’S OTHER WORK
Besides his role on “So Awkward,” Lyndhurst also did voice-over work. His voice was used for the video game “Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward.”
The late actor also played a younger version of Jack Whitehall's character in the BBC film “Bad Education.” Some of his “So Awkward” castmates also paid tribute to him on social media.
