Newlyweds Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts Speak Candidly about Their Love Story & Wedding
Celebrity same-sex couple, Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts got personal on the "Good Morning America" show and talked about the journey that led to their marriage.
Niecy Nash is a well-known name in the entertainment business especially for playing Desna Simms on the hit series, "Claws." She has been on the headlines after news of her marriage garnered attention.
The 50-year-old recently made a special virtual appearance with her wife, Jessica Betts on "Good Morning America" where the couple discussed their relationship.

The Emmy-nominated actress and the singer said their vows in August and many were shocked by their union as there have never been reports of Nash being in a same-sex relationship.
[Nash and Betts] first met about five years ago and became close friends but their love story began when Betts appeared on an episode of "Claws" in 2018.
However, the "RENO 911!" star was glowing with happiness as she stunned in a red dress and held hands with the "Catch Me" singer who looked dashing in a pattered shirt paired with a pink jacket and grey trousers.
The mother-of-three disclosed on the show that many people had wondered if her marriage to Betts was a way of coming out, but for Nash, the marriage was less about gender and more about her being in love with the singer's personality.
Betts also confessed that she desired no one else after falling for the actress and the "Holding On" singer felt an attraction to Nash the moment they met.

The newlyweds also starred in the new music video for Betts' song, "Catch Me." The "Clean House" host was seen in a beautiful wedding dress while the artist was dressed in an all-black ensemble as she sang and played the guitar on the beach.
Nash admitted that it was the passionate lyrics of the song that made her aware of the feelings she had for the songwriter. The mother-of-three realized through the song that she wished to be fully accepted by someone and confessed that this was the first time in her life she felt loved, seen, and accepted.
The pair kept their romance a secret until the "Scream Queens" actress announced their wedding with a picture from the ceremony on Instagram and captioned the post with her new name, "Mrs. Carol Denise Betts."
The joyous occasion marked Nash's third marriage. Her first marriage occurred in 1994 to Don Nash and ended in 2007 while her second marriage to Jay Tucker lasted from 2011 to 2019. They finalized their divorce in March 2020.
