La La Anthony Celebrates Her Mom's Birthday with a Photo Showing Their Uncanny Resemblance

Besides managing a successful acting career and running a business, La La Anthony is known for being overly committed to her family and its members. This week, she showered her mother some love on the latter's birthday.

Actress and businesswoman, La La Anthony took to Instagram to share a special birthday message to her mother, Carmen Surillo.

In a lovely snap, Surillo is seen smiling at the camera at what appeared to have been her house. The actress' mother looked beautiful in a black top while she flashed her perfect teeth.

The resemblance between Surillo and La La is evident. Like her daughter, Surillo looked significantly younger than she is. Of course, her jewelry and perfectly-applied makeup helped to accentuate her look even more.

In her birthday message, La La thanked her mother for teaching her so much and being a great example. The actress captioned the post:

"Happy Birthday Mommy???im grateful everyday GOD chose you to be my mom❤️thank you for teaching and showing me what unconditional love is..."

La La added a final happy birthday message to the caption, throwing in an assortment of emojis to celebrate her mother. It's unclear whether the two women celebrated together or if they were apart due to travel restrictions from the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Despite the couple's many challenges, La La has always prioritized their son, Kiyan.

La La and her mother have always had a special bond. One of the latter's first glimpses was at a red-carpet event back in 2017 when she supported her daughter.

At the time, La La had co-hosted a Mother's Day event for VH1. Surillo was in attendance, accompanying La La with the actress's son, Kiyan.

The event was especially memorable as it was just a few weeks after the actress had broken up with her husband, NBA player Carmelo Anthony.

La La and Carmelo have been involved in an on-again-off-again relationship for years. Despite the couple's many challenges, La La has always prioritized their son, Kiyan.

Earlier this year, La La went all out for Kiyan, taking him on a lavish trip to the Dominican Republic as he turned 13. Per reports, La La took Kiyan to the Hard Rock in Punta Cana, a celeb-loved hotspot.

It's unclear whether La La and Carmelo are back together or not. Despite all the drama, the actress has never let anything get in the way of her time with Kiyan. It appears she picked that up from Surillo.

As La La explained in an interview from earlier this year, motherhood has been her greatest accomplishment. Given that she manages several businesses and an acting career, that's saying something.
