Sarah Ferguson Stole the Show in This Stunning Red Dress for the Virtual Heart Hero Awards
On Tuesday, October 19, 2020, the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, remotely attended the Heart Hero Awards. On social media, she shared an image of the stunning dress she wore for the occasion.
This year’s Heart Hero Awards were held virtually to help curb the spread of the novel coronavirus disease. The event taking part remotely didn’t stop attendee, Sarah Ferguson, from dressing up for the occasion.
Ahead of the ceremony, the Duchess of York uploaded an Instagram image of what she wore for the event. In the photo, the mother-of-two was seen wearing a gorgeous red gown that made her stand out.

The Heart Hero Awards ceremony was actually hosted by Vernon Kay on YouTube. The aim of the event is to showcase the people who have shown resilience, courage, and bravery in the fight against Heart and Circulatory Diseases.
Ferguson, 60, captioned her post revealing that she had been one of the people to present an award at the event. She also confirmed that the ceremony was a celebration of:
“Some brilliant and inspirational heart heroes.”
Besides attending the very special awards, Ferguson also got the good news that she was going to be a grandmother. The Duchess’s daughter, Princess Eugenie, and her son-in-law Jack Brooksbank are expecting a baby early next year.
The Duchess’s daughter being pregnant isn’t the only good news that came out of the Royal Family this year.
Speaking to “People” magazine, at the time, the royal confessed that she was excited about the baby news. She revealed that she was thrilled for her daughter and Brooksbank and couldn’t wait to welcome a new baby into the York family.
Ferguson also shared an image of her daughter and her husband smiling broadly while Eugenie looked at her husband. Eugenie’s child will be the first grandchild for her mother and father, Prince Andrew.
Her child will be Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip‘s ninth great-grandchild. Buckingham Palace also confirmed and celebrated the news of Princess Eugenie’s pregnancy in a statement on the royal website.
The Duchess’s daughter being pregnant isn’t the only good news that came out of the Royal Family this year. Ferguson’s eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi actually got married on July 17, 2020, in a small ceremony.
Their wedding was held in Windsor after the pair had to cancel their original plans. Beatrice and Mozzi had intended on getting married in May this year but their plans changed due to the outbreak of the pandemic.
When Beatrice’s original May 29, 2020, wedding date came around and she couldn’t have her event, her mother showed her support. Ferguson took to Instagram and shared a childhood photo of her child.
In the caption of the post, she declared her love for her daughter and revealed that she was excited to celebrate Beatrice and Mozzi’s love. She also noted how proud she was of her for still planning to get married amid a pandemic.
