Here's How Reese Witherspoon and Her Daughter Ava Mourned the Loss of Their Beloved Pet, Pepper

Famous American actress Resse Witherspoon and her daughter, Ava, are left heartbroken following their French bulldog, Pepper, who died of cancer.

For some individuals, dogs are not just pets but are considered as family members and friends. For 44-year-old Witherspoon and her daughter Ava, their dog Pepper is more than just a pet.

The mother and child took to their Instagram accounts to pay tribute to their dog, who died on Monday after a battle with aggressive cancer. 21-year-old Ava, in a lengthy caption on Instagram, mourned her dear dog.

Ava shared different pictures of herself and Pepper, who she said made her feel special. According to the youngster, Pepper got her through many things, especially the difficulties of her teenage years.

Witherspoon, on her part, said she was left heartbroken following the death of her dog, who she said was a loyal and devoted family member. Although she is sad, the actress is also grateful for the many happy moments the dog brought to her family. Sharing a cute picture of the dog, she captioned:

"Our sweet Pepper passed away yesterday[...] I am so heartbroken, but I am also deeply grateful for all the love and comfort she brought our family..."

Fans flocked to the post to express their condolences following the terrible loss. One fan consoled the actress while saying that pet reminds one of what unconditional love is. Another fan noted that Pepper would be missed, while a third added that dogs are angels on earth.

According to her, so many young women worldwide were inspired to go to law school because of Elle Wood.

Aside from Pepper, Witherspoon is also said to own two other dogs, Hanks and Lou. In April 2019, the family also said goodbye to their dog, Nash. The "Big Little Lies" star has never hidden her love for her dogs, always taking to her social media to post clips from her moments with them.

Witherspoon seems to have transferred this fondness for dogs to her daughter Ava. The 21-year-old is the actress's only daughter and eldest child, whom she reportedly shares with her ex-husband, Ryan Phillipe. Witherspoon has two sons, Deacon Reese Phillippe (16) and Tennessee James (8).

When she is not thrilling her fans with her hit movies, Witherspoon loves to spend time with her children. The actress was spotted hanging out with Tennessee in Los Angeles' Brentwood neighborhood. Tennessee is Witherspoon's only child from her marriage to Jim Toth, whom she wed in 2011.
