“Dancing with the Stars” pro Lindsay Arnold and her husband Samuel Lightner Cusick have welcomed their first child together and are now proud parents of a wonderful baby girl.
The loving couple welcomed their daughter on Monday, November 2, and the dancer shared the great news with a lovely photo on Instagram. The image showed the family of three in the hospital as the parents doted on their daughter.
Proud mother Arnold cradled her newborn as she lay under the theatre sheet while her husband held them close, dressed in a hospital garment. The heartwarming post was captioned:
“The most beautiful surprise on this very special day. Baby Girl and mama are healthy and well. More details to come but wanted to share this first pic of our little family.”
In no time, the comments section was flooded with congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues. Many of Arnold’s “DWTS” family couldn’t hide their excitement as they felicitated with her and Lightner. Her colleague Witney Carson exclaimed:
“My heart! She’s so perfect in every way, So So Happy for you two. Can’t wait to snuggle her!!!”
Artem Chigvintsev described the newborn as beautiful while his fiancee Nikki Bella expressed how happy she was that the family is in good health. Pro Cheryl Burke revealed that she couldn’t wait to meet the little one and become her favorite aunty.
Days before her delivery, Arnold flaunted her baby bump for the last time in a creative Halloween costume.
The “DWTS” team congratulated Arnold, letting her know that her baby girl is very much loved. Other fans were thrilled for the new parents, with a user confessing that the news made their day.
The 26-year-old first announced her pregnancy in March with a creative photo of her and Cusick holding a couple of sonograms. Two months after the announcement, Arnold revealed in an interview that she and her husband were convinced that they were expecting a boy.
However, they were shocked when it was a girl. Nevertheless, the dancer maintained that she and Cusick were no less thrilled about having a girl. They proudly celebrated her welcome with a lavish bohemian-themed baby shower at the Wild Oak Venue in Lindon, Utah.
The gorgeous ceremony featured beautiful flower decor, a barrel drink bar, and several yummy pastry treats. Days before her delivery, Arnold flaunted her baby bump for the last time in a creative Halloween costume.
She painted her burgeoning bump orange and black like a basketball alongside a black-and-white striped shirt to make her look like a referee. Cusick, on the other hand, wore a signed Lakers Jersey from Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
