In October 2017, The New York Times published a report that details the decades of sexual harassment allegations against film producer Harvey Weinstein.

After that report, many women had the courage to reveal their own accusations against Weinstein to the public. The Hollywood mogul was then fired from his company.

Weinstein was also expelled from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Meanwhile, here are three of the high-profile men who have been accused of misconduct since the story of Weinstein broke.

JOHNNY DEPP

In May 2016, Johnny Depp's ex-wife Amber Heard applied for a temporary restraining order against the actor after their divorce. Heard cited domestic abuse at the time.

According to Heard, Depp assaulted her on more than 14 occasions. Sometimes, according to her, she had been in fear for her life. She left with a broken nose, black eyes, and split lip, she said.

Depp recently lost his libel lawsuit against The Sun over the newspaper publisher's claims that he beat Heard. He sued them for damage to reputation.

After losing the case, the actor was asked by Warner Bros. to resign from the Fantastic Beasts franchise, where he played Grindelwald. Deep took to social media to reveal that he agreed to step down from his role.

KEVIN SPACEY

In 2017, actor, producer, and singer Kevin Spacey faced a major controversy when he was accused of sexual misconduct by eight "House of Cards" employees.

The eight accusers spoke out anonymously for fear of reprisal. According to them, Spacey displayed "predatory" behavior on the set of the show.

After the allegations, Spacey's agency CAA, as well as his publicist announced they had parted ways with Spacey, who kicked off his career as a stage actor during the 1980s.

Actor Anthony Rapp also alleged that Spacey made a sexual advance toward him in 1986. Rapp was only 14 at the time, and Spacey was 26. Fifteen others then came forward alleging similar abuse.

BILL COSBY

Stand-up comedian Bill Cosby has been the subject of highly publicized accusations, including sexual misconduct, rape, and child sexual abuse.

Cosby, however, has repeatedly denied the allegations and maintained his innocence. In December 2014, he decided to resign from his position on Temple's board of trustees.

In December 2015, Cosby was charged with three counts of sexual assault in the Andrea Constand case by the prosecutors in Pennsylvania's Montgomery County.

That case was the first criminal charges Cosby has faced since the allegations surfaced. The comedian then surrendered his passport and was released on a million dollar bail.
