Here's What Julianne Hough Revealed about Her Relationship and Split with Ryan Seacrest

Seven years after their split, "DWTS" veteran Julianne Hough has disclosed details about her "high-profile" romance with media mogul, Ryan Seacrest on social media.

Julianne Hough rose to fame as a professional dancer and judge on the competitive show "Dancing With The Stars." The entertainer won the hearts of many with her beauty including the millionaire Ryan Seacrest. The 32-year-old recently discussed her past relationships with Valeria Lipovetsky on Instagram.

The "Burlesque" actress appeared as a virtual guest on the influencer's Instagram Live and during their discussion, Hough recalled the time she struggled with her identity after her "high-profile breakup" in 2013. Although the pro-dancer never mentioned who the ex-boyfriend was, her relationship with Seacrest ended in 2013.

Hough stated that she felt unworthy of the lavish lifestyle and this eventually made her leave the relationship. The 32-year-old admitted that she preferred to achieve that level of success rather than receive it. In her words:

"I was on private planes and yachts and living in a very, very well-off house and my life was pretty different from where I grew up."

This "high-profile" breakup inspired the actress to embrace a new lifestyle, one where she could live without trying to be "perfect and doing everything the right way."

Following [Hough's] split from Laich, the "DWTS" veteran was chosen to star on the podcast series "Transformation — Awaken" on the Meet Cute platform.

The "Footloose" star was 24 at the time and confessed that she did shameful things as that year unleashed her wild side. However, Hough soon realized that she didn't have to be "dynamic and extreme" to find happiness.

After her relationship with Seacrest ended, the 32-year-old met former NHL star Brooks Laich and the lovebirds tied the knot in 2017. Unfortunately, the couple announced their decision to split earlier this year with a joint statement.

The statement came after they spent the lockdown period separately with Laich in Idaho and Hough in L.A. According to sources, the couple tried to reconcile but for various reasons, they decided to remain friends.

Following her split from Laich, the "DWTS" veteran was chosen to star on the podcast series "Transformation — Awaken" on the Meet Cute platform. The pro-dancer told sources that she hoped anyone searching for love would find the stories on the podcast useful.

Naomi Shah, Meet Cute founder admitted that Hough was the "perfect" candidate for the job as "she's very vocal about the theme of self-love, self-care, and finding yourself."

The three-part podcast series is a joint effort of the platform and Hough’s production company, Canary House. The series is focused on modern-day romance and its first episode was released on November 9.

The podcast is voiced by the 32-year-old and the concept aligned with her production company's mission to change lives with stories about "transformation, self-discovery, and identity."
