GELILA BEKELE'S CAREER

Bekele's perfect pose is a result of her decade-old experience in the modeling industry. The beauty signed with Ford Models in 2006. She later changed to Elite Models in New York and Premium Models in Paris, working with big fashion brands like Levi's, Michael Kors, and L'Oreal.

The 34-year-old is quite a Jill of many trades as she began work as a filmmaker in 2013. Some of her work has been featured at the Cannes Film Festival and the Berlinale. However, the model never took her sights off her real passion, social justice.

Bekele has focused much of her time and energy on advocating for the equal rights of young girls in her home country, Ethiopia, ensuring that they have access to education and other opportunities.

She is also passionate about ensuring that all children have access to a clean water supply, which is a fundamental right. She has worked with the non-profit Charity: Water to raise awareness of these issues.

Bekele and Perry have been dating for over a decade and share a son, Aman Perry, born in 2014. The power couple has never considered marriage despite the long-term commitment.

According to Nicki Swift, several reasons have played a part in the couple's relationship, particularly the fact that Perry's work ethic stood in the way of the happily-ever-after. However, the couple seems fulfilled with the way things are.
