ET Online: Kaitlyn Bristowe & Artem Chigvintsev Open up about Their Emotions after DWTS Win
The season finale of "DWTS" is here, and dance stars Kaitlyn Bristowe and Artem Chigvintsev have emerged as the grand champions and recipients of the mirror ball. The duo could not help being emotional as they were named the winners.
After 11 weeks of dance routines and performances, dance pro Artem Chigvintsev and his dance partner, Kaitlyn Bristowe have emerged the champions of season 29 of "Dancing with the Stars."
The duo topped the season finale beating fellow stars Jenna Johnson and Nev Schulman, who came second place, while star rapper Nelly and his partner Daniella Karagach came in as second runner-up.

In a brief interview with ET, Bristowe and her partner, could not contain their happiness and the flow of emotions as they opened up about their feelings being victorious. Chigvintsev was reflective while speaking:
“I was thinking about where I was a year ago, exactly. Where I was not a part of last season, how I felt that [my] old dancing dreams were done and dusted…”
He went on as he referred to the victorious moment as surreal and noted that he never thought it would happen that way. While speaking, Bristowe who has been longing to be part of the acclaimed dance show not only got her chance but also emerged the winner.
Chigvintsev, who recently became a dad, shared that he felt an obligation to go home with the trophy.
Her joy knew no bounds as she shared that there were no words to describe her heartfelt feelings. The “The Bachelorette” star noted that "DWTS" was her dream for a long time and after working hard towards it, her endeavour paid off in the best way.
During the announcement, heart rates were heightened as the remaining contestants stood still to hear the verdict. While the third and fourth couples made it out of the stage, Chigvintsev and Bristowe, alongside Johnson and Schulman, remained behind to hear their fates.
For the finale, host Tyra Banks looked gorgeous in a black massive tulle dress as she made it known that fans’ favoured Chigvintsev and Bristowe as the dance champions, leaving the duo in a frenzy as they made for their acclaimed accolade.
In the days leading up to their final performances, ET caught up with the dance couple making enquiries about their dance routines and preparation for the finale.
Chigvintsev, who recently became a dad, shared that he felt an obligation to go home with the trophy. Bristowe added that she had her fingers crossed and her eye on the price.
