Solange Knowles Debuts Boyfriend on Instagram — Meet Her New Love Gio Escobar

Singer Solange Knowles is officially off the singles market. She recently debuted her new boyfriend, Gio Escobar, on her Instagram page. Get to meet the jazz composer.

Solange Knowles has been single for a year but is now back on the dating scene after posting a picture of her new man on her Instagram Story during the weekend.

The picture sparked a frenzy as her fans sought to know who the new man in their favorite's life is. Well, his identity is now confirmed. Knowles' boyfriend is the jazz composer, Gio Escobar.

Escobar was born in 1995 in Brooklyn, New York, and is of Puerto Rican descent. Like Knowles, he is also a music lover and founded Standing on the Corner, a Brooklyn-based experimental jazz and hip-hop group.

The band worked with Knowles on her 2019 album, "When I Get Home," and have producer credits on the interludes in the songs "Exit Scott," "S McGregor," and "Nothing Without Intention."

Besides making music, Escobar has experience working on radio and co-hosted the radio show, "Stay Inside," on "Red Bull Radio," alongside rapper and producer Earl Sweatshirt.

Although Knowles is only just revealing Escobar to the world, the lovebirds were allegedly first spotted being cozy in August 2019, at a time when she was still married.

The singer said she met a phenomenal man eleven years ago, who changed every existence of her life.

A source confirmed to ET that Escobar and Knowles have been dating for a while and are very happy together, adding that they make for a sweet couple.

The source's words also confirm the pictures of Knowles and her new man now circulating on social media that show them enjoying a sunny day, smiling and pleased to be with each other.

Knowles' revelation of her new man comes a year after she announced she and her ex-husband, Alan Ferguson, were going their separate ways.

In a statement, the singer said she met a phenomenal man eleven years ago, who changed every existence of her life, but that they had separated and parted ways.

Knowles and Ferguson tied the knot on November 16, 2014, at Louisiana's Marigny Opera House. Guests at the wedding included Solange's sister, Beyoncé, her husband, Jay-Z, and their daughter, Blue Ivy.
