Closer Weekly: Helen Hunt's Daughter Makena Adores Her Mother's Boyfriend Steven Tepper
A source has revealed to Closer Weekly that actress Helen Hunt's daughter, Makena, has approved her relationship with Steven Tapper and loves him.
Helen Hunt, 57, has been dating Steven Tapper, a former attorney, for over a year. Still, their relationship would not have lasted this long without the approval of her only daughter, Makena.
According to a source who spoke to Closer Weekly, the actress needs the 16-year-old Makena's approval when it comes to her relationships.

However, she does not need to worry about her relationship with Tapper. This is because Makena already loves how happy Tapper makes her mom.
The source also revealed Tapper spent Thanksgiving with Hunt and her family. The source added that they are looking forward to spending Christmas and New Year together.
The source further explained that Makena is a real daddy's girl and adores her father, Mathew Carnahan, a great deal. However, she believes Tapper is a cool person and loves how happy her mom is because of him.
The source said Makena has gotten to know Tapper on a deeper level since he began dating her mom over a year ago. Hunt has kept her romance with Tapper quiet, but things are going on strong between them.
The insider added that the actress is really into Tapper and hopes their relationship works out, which is why she was yet to go public with it.
Though Hunt has a new man in her life, she remains focused on co-parenting Makena with her ex-boyfriend, Carnahan, though they do not always see eye to eye.
The source further revealed that Carnahan is dating someone else and they are happy in their respective relationships. Hunt and Carnahan ended their relationship in August 2017 after being together for sixteen years.
The revelations from the source about Tapper's relationship with Makena come about a week after a source told Closer Weekly that Hunt was officially off the market and dating Tapper, a professional photographer.
The insider added that the actress is really into Tapper and hopes their relationship works out, which is why she was yet to go public with it. Hunt also wants to avoid overwhelming Tapper, who is super private with the celebrity spotlight.
The Emmy Award-winning Hunt has starred in many hit movies, including the 1996 action/disaster/horror/rom-com movie, "Twister."
Hunt spoke to Vulture about the movie in an interview in July and revealed she initially did not want to do the film but changed her mind after speaking to the film's director Jan de Bont.
Hunt's fans will hope her relationship with Tapper continues to go on strong and wish them a good time as they spend the holidays together.
