Singer Christina Perri Gets Candid as She Shares Emotional Update after Daughter's Stillbirth
Two weeks after experiencing pregnancy loss, singer Christina Perri took to her Instagram page to share an emotional update on how she and her family are coping.
The thoughts of many fans have been with singer Christina Perri and her family since she announced that they lost the baby she and husband Paul Costabile were expecting.
On Tuesday, she took to her Instagram page to share a picture of her and Costabile's two-and-a-half-year-old daughter Carmella cuddling with their new family puppy, Chocolate Chip.

In the caption that accompanied the post, Perri provided an emotional update on how she and her family are dealing with the sad loss of their baby.
The singer said since her last post, she could not think of anything that felt appropriate other than the picture of Carmella and Chocolate Chip. She said the puppy brought a little bit of joy back into their home and has not left her side. Perri added:
"The days have been long and yet also feel like they all blend into one. we're not ok, but we believe in a day we will be."
The grieving mom revealed she, her husband, and their daughter wrap themselves in love and sadness daily and are learning to navigate their grief together.
There are days when they find it hard to swim, and other days when they float fine. Every day they cry and also find moments to laugh. Perri explained they have had all the feelings, emotions, questions, anger, and sadness.
The baby was due in January 2021.
There have been moments of surrender and moments where hope slipped in, though the latter often did not happen. She acknowledged what they were experiencing was normal but noted it has been overwhelming.
Perri took the time to appreciate the overwhelming show of love and support from friends, family, and fans. She specially thanked those who continually show their wounds to help soften her family's pain. Perri further wrote:
"You all have shown us a kindness we'll never forget. we love you, so much. for now I'm going to keep staying off my social media so I can continue to heal with my family."
She said her social media accounts would be managed by her team and would be about what is coming next, adding that her album would be ready the next time fans hear from her.
Perri thanked her fans for their patience and understanding as they continue to wait for her album and prayed they find joy during the holidays. She ended her caption, hoping that everyone finds rainbows in the new year after this year's many storms.
On November 25, Perri announced via an Instagram post that she and Costabile lost their baby girl, who was born dead after fighting so hard to make it to the world. She said her baby is now at peace and will live forever in their hearts.
The baby was due in January 2021. It will be recalled that Perri also announced in January that her family was shocked and completely broken after she suffered a miscarriage at 11 weeks.
After that occurrence, she said she was sad but neither ashamed nor discouraged and would try again for a child when it feels right. In July, she announced she was expecting a rainbow baby.
That baby is now no more, and Perri's fans will pray and hope she and her family find the healing they greatly need and the courage to go again at the right time.
