Matthew Morrison's 3-year-old son, named Revel, reacted unsatisfied towards him transforming into a "Grinch" costume. The actor told E! Online how his son's reacted, and it was as expected for a toddler.
Morrison spoke to E!'s Justin Slyvester about his role in the NBC production of Dr. Seuss' The Grinch Musical!. When asked about taking on the role, the 42-year-old revealed that it was terrifying and challenging for him.

The father of one portrays the mean; green Christmas figure called the Grinch in the musical. Morrison's son found it terrifying when his dad transformed into the Grinch. The Grinch is not a good-looking character; hence he scared off the baby.
"He was a little scared at first. Like when he saw me in full makeup and everything," he told the outlet. The good thing about it was that there was the preparation before "The Grinch Musical," so Morrison and his wife Renee eased him into it.
According to Screen Rant, Morrison's "The Grinch" was partly inspired by Joaquin Phoenix's Joker. Morrison reportedly revealed that he drew his inspiration from it and created his version of the Grinch after watching Joker.
Joker was one of the hit movies for the year 2019. Although it received many controversial reactions because of the violent nature of the film, it received negative critics for how heavy subjects were portrayed. Nonetheless, Phoenix received praise for his role in the movie.
Dr. Seuss' The Grinch Musical Live is NBC's latest family-friendly theatrical special. The musical has reportedly not been well received for its theatrical rendition.
The musical gave people a sneak peek at the live performance during Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The viewers were reportedly not impressed with Morrison's look nor the quality of performance.
Playing the Grinch, Morrison revealed to the New York Post that his outfit was weird. The Broadway star said that he turned to his co-star and told him that it is probably the closest that they will ever go in working at a theme park.
Morrison shared that it took about three-and-a-half hours to get the iconic Grinch makeup and suit. The dancer added that he did not have to wear a lot of stuff for the costume.
While he's busy playing the Grinch, in 2017, Morrison shared why he and his wife named their son Revel. According to People, the singer explained the inspiration behind their son's name. The couple calls their son Rev for short.
Morrison reportedly shared that they wanted to revel in their child; he added that their bundle of joy is a dream child. The married duo reportedly had decided on an "M" name if they were to have a baby girl and an "R" one if they had a boy. They wanted to go for something unique.
