Meghan McCain, 35, went on maternity leave in the fall as she was expecting her first child with her husband Ben Domenech, 38. The couple welcomed daughter Liberty Sage McCain Domenech on September 28, 2020.

McCain has been on leave for the past three months and fans haven’t been coping well. Fans have been asking her when she would return as they impatiently anticipate her fiery presence on the ABC talk show.

She then ended the suspense by revealing that she would be returning on January 4, 2021. The television personality and new mother concluded her post by wishing her fans a Merry Christmas.

Meghan McCain lamented how this wasn’t the case with other hosts.

McCain actually stayed on the talk show up until she was days from giving birth. She co-hosted with her colleagues while self-quarantining in Arizona with her “The Federalist” publisher husband.

As much as some of her fans kept inquiring about her return, there was a period where the star was inundated with rumors that she wasn’t coming back to the show. She laid the issue to rest in an August 2020 interview.

McCain made it absolutely clear that she would be back in her seat along with co-hosts Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Whoopi Goldberg. The star initially announced her pregnancy on March 22, 2020.
