Michelle Williams Mourns Death of Beloved Father Dennis — inside His Last Day

Destiny's Child star Michelle Williams poured out her heart in a touching tribute while honoring her dad who recently passed on. Michelle made it known that he was a true fighter.

Music star Michelle Williams' soulful tribute to her dad had her informing fans that he was a brave person while he battled illness. On her Instagram page, the singer paid respect to the late patriarch. She captioned the post:

"I just don't know what to say to where to start. Daddy, you fought harder than those of us that are in good health! For 15 years, you FOUGHT!!!..."

The star recalled how her dad endured through the tough times of his illness, even outliving moments they thought he would pass on. The star added that her dad had a peaceful look on his face during his last moments.

For fifteen years, Michelle's dad, Dennis Williams, struggled with a stroke and other health issues. In years leading up to his passing, the patriarch became diabetic.

While trying to help her dad through the years, Michelle was an active member and an ambassador of the American Heart Association's Power to End Stroke campaign.

However, Michelle did not let the naysayers get to her, clamping down on their sentiments and living her best life.

Following her announcement, Beyoncé's mom, Tina Lawson, who was the stylist of Destiny's Child, shared her condolences on social media, calling Dennis a "true warrior."

Last year, Michelle opened up about her stint as a Destiny's Child member while growing up. The star was candid about not being a mainstream singer in the girl group.

She explained that the realization of that affected her self-esteem and stuck with her for a long time. The star who is currently making waves as a gospel singer also faced social media criticism.

Unfortunately, netizens capitalized on her less popular singing. However, Michelle did not let the naysayers get to her, clamping down on their sentiments and living her best life.
