Abigail Heringer made history as the first deaf contestant on "The Bachelor," where she stars alongside Matt James. Here are a few things to note about her.

The 25th season of "The Bachelor" has been full of historical events since it was announced. From having its first Black male lead to having the first deaf contestant, it is looking thrilling.

The show has previously been criticized for its lack of diversity, but Abigail Heringer seems to have changed everything. Meet the woman who made history during the 25th season when she became the first deaf contestant in the show's history.

Heringer is not just a beauty with no brains. The 25-year-old is said to be highly regarded when it comes to her intellectual prowess.

Heringer finished high school with almost a perfect result and studied finance at Linfield College. She works as an analyst for a company based in Oregon.

One of the first things she whispered to James as they walked together was that she was deaf and would have to do a lot of lip reading. Helinger was born deaf in both ears.

James was reportedly attracted to Heringer because of her sincerity and openness.

Her older sister Rachel also has a condition similar to hers and is deaf too. Heringer confessed that Rachel made her confident of herself and she learned how to talk about it comfortably by watching her sister.

She might have been born deaf, but that has not stopped her from being a lover of fun and some quality time. As per who she would rather be with, Heringer said she prefers the company of one who would make her feel like they are the only ones in the world.

She also enjoys chilling with a cold bottle of beer. Nothing lightens up her day as much as a good conversation over a bottle of cold local beer.

While her family has no qualms about her being on the show, they hold some reservations and believe it might not be the best way to meet the love of one's life.

Her mother, Suzie, revealed that the family wants her to have all the fun she would like, but also, she was given a gentle reminder that her grandparents are watching, which would help keep her in check.

Matt James has had over 30 women in line to capture his attention, but it seems Heringer was able to strike a chord in their first meeting and earned a first impression rose from him.

James was reportedly attracted to Heringer because of her sincerity and openness. James said that he told the ladies to be as real and vulnerable as they could be.

James is the first Black lead character of "The Bachelor" and is already becoming a hit amongst fans. His season looks like it will be filled with thrills and fun. Fans would have to sit tight and watch.
