Father-of-3 Gifts Expensive Watches to His Sons and Ignores His Daughter

A father of three children, two boys, and a girl, gave expensive watches to his sons but left out his daughter, and his wife is furious about his misogynistic actions.

Mary and her husband Frank are proud parents of three children, two sons, Ben and Peter, and a daughter Hailey. Their boys are 25 and 12, while the girl is 17 years old. They are both working parents and are usually away from home.

However, with the ongoing COVID-19, they were forced to work from home. This has caused them to spend more time with their kids and, as a result, bond better with them. The family has thrived better with their new-found closeness.

One day, Frank got into a discussion with the boys and began telling them a story of his childhood. He spoke about growing up and spending time with his family, and something profound he heard in a song.

The lyrics inspired him to buy expensive watches, which he gifted to his sons. He explained to them that the monetary value wasn’t what was important about the watches.

Instead, it was a reminder of how important it is to spend time with family. Mary heard about her husband’s actions later that day from their grieved daughter.

Hailey was heartbroken that her father didn’t gift her a watch just like he did for her brothers. She felt let out and went to talk to her mother. Mary felt bad and went to talk to Frank.

She asked him why he excluded their daughter from the gifts, and Frank answered, saying their daughter was too young and the gift was mainly for the boys. Mary then inquired if he would have given Hailey a watch if she was older.

Frank said he probably wouldn’t, as the watch would not hold the same value with a female. Mary got furious about his answer as she believed it was disrespectful for him to say he could do something for their sons and not their daughter.

She told him to go and apologize to Hailey for excluding her, but Frank refused. She brought it up again, but he refused, standing by what he did. Mary lost it, and they got into an argument where she accused him of being misogynistic.
