HER BOLD OPINION

Mai, who is of Vietnamese and Chinese descent, shared her latest mesmerizing video just a few days after she lamented the latest Asian American portrayal on television.

The articulate host said that while she rejoices in the growing diversity and inclusivity in the media, she noticed that the Asian American portrayal has skewed toward the "Crazy Rich Asian" stereotype.

Besides expressing her views on Asian American representation, Mai earlier remarked about how grateful she was to be given another year in life. She recently celebrated her 42nd birthday.

The famous host said it was a unique birthday celebration for her - and one that was deeply meaningful - because of her serious health issues over the past few months.

Prior to this unfortunate phase in her life, Mai had revealed her daily routine that kept her mentally sound while in quarantine. Among her daily activities was reading a meditation book.
