VALENTINE'S DAY AT HOME
It wasn't just a house; it was Mai and Jeezy's new home. The 42-year-old TV host was surprised as she thought they would spend Valentine's Day in a fancy restaurant.
Mai, dressed in a black body-hugging dress, filmed her entrance into their house. There were rose petals on the floor leading to their table right in the middle of an unfurnished space.
She panned her camera to the right, where a chef was seen cooking in the kitchen. Jeezy can be heard in the video telling Mai that he prepared her favorite dishes.
The "Dancing with the Stars" alum appeared speechless at Jeezy's romantic dinner set-up. The rapper gave Mai a bouquet of roses as well. Mai captioned her post:
"As our new house is nearly finished, his surprise Valentine’s dinner officially made it Home❤️."
Many fans in the comment section appeared envious of the couple's sweet date night at home. One user loved Jeezy's surprise and wrote, "This level of love is unimaginable."
A ROMANTIC MAN
Jeezy's romantic side was evident in March 2020. The 43-year-old rapper took Mai on a trip to Vietnam and surprised her with a quarantined date night filled with Vietnamese food and decors.
Amid the quarantine due to COVID-19, Jeezy proposed to Mai. The pair were first linked in January 2019, and after eight months, they became Instagram official.
In November, Mai was rushed to the hospital after her strep throat diagnosis.
MAI'S RECENT BACKLASH
Earlier, Mai faced backlash after saying that she doesn't want to be the leader of her relationship with Jeezy. She clarified that she doesn't care about the opinions of other women.
Mai was previously married to actor and producer Freddy Harteis for eleven years. The former pair tied the knot in 2007 and finalized their divorce in 2018.
Mai seems happy with Jeezy and she is thankful that he's been by her side even amid a life-threatening situation. In November, Mai was rushed to the hospital after her strep throat diagnosis.
The severe throat infection forced Mai to withdraw from the "DWTS" competition. While she was upset about her abrupt exit, Mai was thankful that the show management understood her condition.
